Saturday Morning Rotary Market

Details: The Saturday Morning Rotorua North Rotary Market is open every Saturday of the year. Depending on the weather there are upwrads of 3,000 shoppers who use the market. The colourful stalls and their goods are a tourist attraction as well as a source of bargains for the locals. There are some 40 to 50 stalls at the market selling fresh fruit and vegetables, fast food, coffee, arts and crafts, wood, clothing, souvenirs, plants, pre-loved goods, candy, popcorn and much more.

Arawa Park Racecourse Meetings - Rotorua 2013

The Big O Trail Run - Rotorua 2013
Date: Saturday 25 May 2013
Details: The Big O Trail Run is a stunningly scenis anti-clockwise loop around lake Okataina. The 35km event follows a mix of well established bush walking tracks, private farm tracks and an untracked native bush section ( bush crash). A 19Km version of the course starts at the Rotorua end of the lake and takes in the same course to tthe finish as the second half of the 35km event, along the Eastern Okataina walkway.

New Zealand Indoor Bowls National Club Championship - Rotorua, 2013

Details: The Bowls New Zealand National Club Championship Singles, Pairs, Triples and fours for men and women are tournaments that begin at Centre level throughout the country, with winners in all disciplines progressing as Centre winners through to Regionall/Zone Playoffs which are usually played on the same weekend nationally. After progressing through to the National Finals the representatives play a round robin competition over 2 days to determine who will win the national title in that particular discipline.

Burgen Tough Guy and Gal Challenge - Rotorua 2013

Details: This is the original home of the Tough Guy and Gal Challenge. The event is at Lakes Ranch. This venue provides a magnificent course with spectacular scenery for the ultimate experience. The course includes water trails, net climb, crawl under barb wire obstacles, swamp crossings, native bush trail, wobbly water bridge, open paddock running, hurdles, wire rope bridge and tunnels. A six km or a 12km course are available.
Numbers are limited to 2000 competitors a day, be in quick because these do sell out.
